3 things you love about your life!

3 gentle breaths - where are you now, what can you see, smell, taste and feel around you?  Use all your senses to ground and if possible, place your bare feet on the ground for 5 minutes (set a timer) Just at this moment all is ok!

Add an essential oil practice for a beautiful start to your day.

If you would like to feel peaceful, try Lavender or Bergamot:

Lavender - Botanical name Lavandula angustifolia

Lavender is one of the most 'relaxing' varieties of essential oils.  It helps to soothe, calm and balance the emotions and is therefore useful for treating those with depression, anxiety and stress-related conditions.

Bergamot – Botanical name Citrus bergamia

Bergamot's antidepressant qualities are excellent for tension, anxiety, stress, depression and Seasonal Affective Disorder.

If you would like to feel uplifted, try Lemon or Cypress:

Lemon – Botanical name Citrus limonum

Lemon helps to clear the mind, and boosts clarity of thought and memory.  It has a good stimulating effect that is useful for treating stress related fatigue.

Cypress - Cupressus sempervirens

Cypress is useful for anxiety as it helps to restore calm and focus whilst helping ease negative emotions.

If you would like to feel self-confident, try Sweet Orange or Ylang Ylang:

Sweet Orange – Botanical name Citrus sinensis

Orange has a relaxing, comforting, uplifting effect which can be helpful for stress related problems and anxiety it boosts confidence and is said to be the happy oil.

Ylang Ylang – Botanical name Cananga odorata

Ylang Ylang is used for its antidepressant, euphoric, sedative and aphrodisiac properties. It acts as a tonic for the nervous and circulatory systems and can help to reduce high blood pressure. It help’s balance and regulate body functions working with the endocrine system. 

If you would like to feel invigorated, try Peppermint or Eucalyptus:

Peppermint - Botanical name Mentha piperita

Peppermint invigorates the mind and can aid clear thinking and concentration. Helpful for treating mental fatigue. Its stimulating properties are very refreshing to body soul and mind.

Eucalyptus – Botanical name Eucalyptus globulus

Eucalyptus has stimulating properties that can help to clear the mind and relieve fatigue, particularly good with stressful situations arise.
