10 Top Tips to Aid Digestion!

1. Marigold is said to soothe ulcers and repair tissues in the gut mucosa. Its and emmenagogue so it can stimulate blood flow in the pelvic area and the uterus so possibly stimulating menstruation and the easing of painful periods.


2. Lemon balm is said the combat indigestion you can add a few leaves to hot water, wait five minutes and slowly sip.


3. A flask of ginger tea is a wonderful way to ease digestion if you know you are going to have a stress filled day just slowly sip as and when needed to aid calm.


4. Take some time out at mealtime and eat mindfully giving thanks for the space to enjoy your food.


5. Cumin, fennel and coriander make a nice refreshing tea. Simmer equal amounts of the seeds in a pan for 5 minutes. It smells wonderful and completely refreshes your system.


6. Suffering from Polycystic Overy syndrome (PCOS) eat lots of fruit, vegetables, oily fish, flaxseeds and walnuts to boost your omega 3 and reduce drinks high in fat and sugar to ease bloating.


7. Beetroots can be made into a tonic by adding the same amount of carrots into a blender and blend until smooth. It is said to aid menstruation and menopause as it cleans the lymphatic system.


8. Eat seasonally as nature intended.


9. Avoid pro-inflammatory foods such as highly processed foods.


10. Eat anti-inflammatory food such as beans, fatty fish and green leafy vegetables.
